By the way, you forgot the most important : "THEY WERE TOLERANT". The single empire that made Muslims, Christians and Jews live together during 500 years. While in Europe, many people don't want mosques in their country nowadays, in the Ottoman empire, it was never seen as a problem that you could have a Mosque, a Church and a Synagogue in the same street. __________________________________________________
