Description: Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one. |

rahdisas ::: Favorites All deliveries except the doosra by Murali are fine imo. 07-10-06 10:38:47 __________________________________________________
lankacricket ::: Favorites Research was also undertaken during the ICC Champions Trophy in England, where it was found that 13 of the 23 bowlers filmed straightened their arms more than the current permissible levels. Ramnaresh Sarwan, he of the fairly innocuous legspin, was the only man observed who didn't straighten his arm at all.-Cricinfo 07-09-21 19:39:21 __________________________________________________
lankacricket ::: Favorites "The scientific evidence is overwhelming," said Michael Holding,a member of the six-man panel of former Test players who have been gathered in Dubai to investigate the issue. "When bowlers who, to the naked eye, look to have pure actions are thoroughly analysed they are likely to be shown as straightening their arm. Under a strict interpretation of the law, these players are chuckers. The game needs to deal with this reality & make its judgment as to how it accommodates this fact." -Cricinfo 07-09-21 19:38:20 __________________________________________________
lankacricket ::: Favorites Can you provide notweorthy news sources to Holding's agreeance to Bedi and Holding's vote on the panel? The decesion was unanimous. 07-09-21 19:32:16 __________________________________________________
pendleaussie ::: Favorites Murali is the greatest man, his skills would have been useful for lanka in T20 wc. Bloody australia 07-09-21 08:18:38 __________________________________________________
pubuman ::: Favorites Actually , even if he has super human sight he still wont pick it up because the transmissions are done at 25 fps.. so you would not be able to tell a chuck (unless its massive) anyway! 07-09-20 21:00:32 __________________________________________________
mikepumpkin ::: Favorites Holding recently said he agreed "110 %" with Bedi on this - yes he was part of the panel but obviously outvoted. His action becomes dubious when he really tries to spin the doosra. Look at slowmo of this series v NZ, he bowled more and more doosra's as the series went on and his action got worse and worse. All the commentators saw it, and Martin Crowe was so upset he sent a video to the ICC 07-09-17 08:53:22 __________________________________________________
lankacricket ::: Favorites Actually Micheal Holding was a part of that icc panel which cleared murali. Why would Murali chuck it when he can bowl legally? its proven that the throw is an illusion, if you consider the facts the truth stare you in the face. The human eye processes 25 frames per second, at 200 it couldnt detect a throw in live match conditions, unless you have superhuman vision its silly to claim what you do. 07-09-16 18:45:24 __________________________________________________
mikepumpkin ::: Favorites Noone doubts that Murali can bowl legally, and he has been tested in the lab. Question is whether in a match situation, when he really tries to rip it, especially the doosra, does he chuck? Personally I believe I've seen him chucking many times (eg in NZ end of 06). And before you all shout racism, remember that his two most vocal critics are Bishan Bedi and Michael Holding 07-09-16 07:33:40 __________________________________________________
lankacricket ::: Favorites Something must've gone wrong on your end. The end is not abrupt, the video has ending credits as well. Thank you for the compliment, its appreciated. 07-09-13 16:27:35 __________________________________________________ |
