Description: 'This Girl's In Love With You" is a true testament to Dionne Warwick's hit making ability. The tune was released a mere seven months after Herb Albert's "This Guy's In Love With You" hit the top of the Billboard Hot 100. Dionne's gender-switched version of the Burt Bacharach and Hal David penned tune was recorded for the November 1968 LP "Promises, Promises" and was pulled from the LP for release as a single in February 1969. Dionne hit #7 on the Billboard Hot 100, #7 on the Billboard Hot R&B Chart and #2 on the Billboard AC Chart. The version heard here is the long edit which is about one minute longer than the radio or single edit. The "B" side of the single was a beautiful Bacharach/David tune "Dream Sweet Dreamer" which was the only "B" side Dionne recorded never to be included in any Scepter album until Rhino reissued the Promises, Promises/I'll Never Fall in Love Again CD with the tune included as a bonus track.
