where did the money go? well first of all, the money may have been appropriated but a lot of it wasn't spent. most of what was spent went to bu$h's buddies, halliburton and the like. local contractors couldn't get their foot in the door. fema made it impossible. and then the insurance companies screwed the home owners by not covering flood damage.

I heard on Face the Nation that Bush approved changing the job description of the next FEMA director, so that he/she wouldn't need a minimum amount of emergency management experience, which we know that Brownie didn't even have that. In effect, Bush is allowing for this to be mismanaged again, which sounds like his entire presidency.

Hmmm....where did the money go? To big business: thats where the money went. Is it just me or do the vast majority of people don't realize that the government doesn't work. They take care of themselves and their buddies! Do they care anything about the common man? No.

I pretty much said that same thing - that government inherenty "doesn't work," and a bigger government works even less. Unfortunately, Momarsh here is a total fraud and is unable to apply the same principles that he whines about, ie, he has my superior logic deleted.

They spent 140 Million rebuilding the Superdome. So that takes a big bite out of the aid that the victims should be getting. But who needs a new place to live when you can be distracted by one of americas greatest pastimes.

No. I didn't mean journalist. I meant 'press person' because nobody who kisses as much ass as the white house press corps can be considered a true journalist.
