DeimosSaturn ::: Favorites Gambling is a religion. You pay for the hope of winning lots of money with...money. In christianity, you pay for the hope of living forever with...your ability to reason. 07-08-09 22:46:00 _____________________________________________________
Uaz31 ::: Favorites John 19:24 - They said therefore among themselves, "Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be," that the Scripture might be fullfilled which says: "They divided My garments among them, And for My clothing they cast lots." Therefore the soldiers did these things. 07-07-31 10:35:19 _____________________________________________________
Uaz31 ::: Favorites Our possessions are to be used to the glory of God. 07-07-31 10:41:50 _____________________________________________________
zzbullan ::: Favorites well if gambling is a sin then we are all sinning. we are gambling that our beliefs are correct 07-07-28 00:58:06 _____________________________________________________
parymich777 ::: Favorites when it comes to our beliefs I dont think thats gambling 07-07-28 02:45:33 _____________________________________________________
Slayn3 ::: Favorites Wow, I used to be all for gambling, but after seeing this...I think I'm finally convinced. 07-07-27 22:24:24 _____________________________________________________
geekgalvideo ::: Favorites interesting! 07-07-27 07:04:32 _____________________________________________________
parymich777 ::: Favorites the incidents mentioned in the bible show that it is greed for money or gain that is the sin. for the most part that is the main purpose for gambling and based on that alone would make it wrong. But games of chance are not gambling unless money is involved. I play poker but no money, does that mean I sin? I don't think so. 07-07-25 17:53:54 _____________________________________________________
zzbullan ::: Favorites Well actually you are gambling if you are using some sort of chips or other currency purely used for fun. when you play poker, you place your bet. although the chips possess no real monetary value, they are still a form of currency. and the object of the game is to get as many as possible. that is still gambling, but it is not a sin. 07-07-28 01:03:54 _____________________________________________________
matros22 ::: Favorites I like your videos. 07-07-25 01:02:41 _____________________________________________________
KasparHauser4 ::: Favorites sooo gambling on a stock in the stock market is wrong.... gambling on a young couple who want to start a small business and need start up captital is wrong... personally I think your all wet on this one 07-07-25 00:49:03 _____________________________________________________
BattleshipTx ::: Favorites I play poker one Friday night a month with some lawyers from my firm. I almost always win (they drink beer-I don't). I put winnings in the collection Sunday morning (they know I do). Low stakes, a big winner is $40 to $50 for the night. $50 is nothing for any of these guys (I do their estate plans). I give the same contribution to the church as always (budgeted last Dec.) I talk about Jesus to these guys during play and at breaks that would be impossible at work. Why I shouldn't play? 07-07-25 00:02:14 _____________________________________________________
BattleshipTx ::: Favorites Gambling is not a sin. An addictive gambler or anyone who can't control their gambling is sinning. Putting something else before God. You can gamble without stealing or coveting. You can also gamble without injuring another. It serves no purpose, but neither does any form of entertainment. 07-07-24 23:46:02 _____________________________________________________
parymich777 ::: Favorites Just like drinking or anything else, if it can cause another to stumble tho it's best to stay away from it too. Ur right though 07-07-25 17:52:01 _____________________________________________________
WholeDarnShow ::: Favorites Nice to see this again, it was one of the first vids I saw by you that sold me on you being a thoughtful rational guy inspite of your fundy theism, are you reuploading to avoid Copyright problems of the intro song? Compare some of your arguments here to the arguments for/against the Free Market, or right wing conservativism generally. Thanks, keep it up. 07-07-24 23:05:01 _____________________________________________________
UpDownMostly ::: Favorites yes 07-07-24 21:32:22 _____________________________________________________
johlysid ::: Favorites The Bible doesn't speak of many things. However it is God's LIVING WORD (his specific commands to us) which matter. Gambling is a sinful enviornment, which are to be avoided. Gambling is also a lack of faith in the Heavenly Father. Great points JF. 07-07-24 21:15:14 _____________________________________________________
xnightxamex ::: Favorites whether god likes it or not, gambling is dangerous. but it's fun. 07-07-24 17:24:45 _____________________________________________________
Punctum90 ::: Favorites I bet you can't prove the existence of God. Can you prove a negative? 07-07-24 16:23:13 _____________________________________________________
chrispalasz ::: Favorites I don't think gambling is such a big deal. It's really a case-by-case scenario. You can't put a blanket on gambling just like you can't put a blanket on drinking alcohol. Neither one is condemned in the Bible. But anything good can be abused and used for sin. 07-07-24 15:57:01 _____________________________________________________ |
