How come it looks like its shifting itself?

hard launches are no problem in any gear including 1st! it just swats a bit, a little chirp and hooks and goes! and this is on street tires! its unbelievable! i've driven z06s w/bigger tires and less hp that just get loose when you floor it... in a straight! i love it! its so balanced.

its actually pretty loud... 125db @ idle! but since you're moving so fast its all behind you. the entire suspension was beefed up... coil overs, giant sway bars, toe links n trailing arms... so it hooks up like you're on fly paper!

I just watched it again, damn this ride looks so fun! and sounds great, not too loud like most of them. So can you do full throttle when you hit 3rd gear, or will it roast the tires? I'm assuming that's the case with 1st and 2nd. Also, is that the rx7 rear diff housing? nice bud, enjoy her.

BTW... the shifter would shake b/c the trans mount broke... rough weekend on the car... that's fixed now too.

Also, b/c it revs and hits it so fast I wasn't used to it... I haven't had a lot of seat time in it. I've gotten the shift light fixed though which really helps. RA is very challenging. Its not like drag racing where you just floor it and shift in a straight line... there are a lot of fast turns and if you don't brake and turn in right, you'll go off into the gravel... or hit that nasty wall at "the kink".

Yeah, i have a shift light but it i had wiring issues that weekend. The main reason I was hitting the rev limiter so much is that this was my FIRST TIME on the RA track so I was concentrating on the track line not when to shift.

Awesome! Looks like a handful! I can't even imagine how a car that light would feel with all that torque. You might want to get a big tachometer with a shift light, so you don't bounce off of redline.
