Cuireadh an camchuairt le chéile chun ceol traidisiúnta na hÉireann a nochtadh do lucht éisteachta óg, agus chun úsáid a bhaint as an nGaeilge i gcomhthéacs aspreagfadh an lucht éisteachta chun pé Gaeilge a bhí acu a úsáid. Baineann luas agus fuinneamh leis an gceol agus i dteannta na gcluichí agus an damhsa is ócáid spraíúil, oideachasúil agus cultúrtha í. In Spring 2007, Foras na Gaeilge funded Tradfest Music to tour traditional Irish music and language throughout third level institutes across the country. The tour was designed to expose young people to traditional music and Irish language, encouraging them to use whatever amount of Irish they had. The music is fast paced and energetic, while the games and dancing conducted as gaeilge makes for a fun, educational and cultural experience. |
