stodesto416 ::: Favorites Not bad. There are a ton of wild cam girls at _SWEETDATEZ.COM_ 07-09-29 18:21:14 __________________________________________________
N101RG ::: Favorites MG-42 was a step forward in mass production and was a damn fine MG cyclic rate was a little ridiculous though. It was meant to be carried in the field and used in a moments notice. The Browning MG will take no back seat to any WW2 MG, still in use today all over the world. Again the Generals were trying to get by with the BAR and it was obsolete, trying to get by again. Not caring what it cost in blood. 07-09-29 16:37:57 __________________________________________________
N101RG ::: Favorites I wouldn't go quite that far. America had some brilliant gun people, John Moses Browning, John C. Garand to name a couple. The Germans were taking the lessons from their people in combat and truely trying to help them. The American bureacracy was a pain in the ass. Old ideas by closed minded people. The 7.62X51 is a prime example. 07-09-29 16:29:25 __________________________________________________
llokkee ::: Favorites Well in terms of automatic rifle,i believe it was the Russians who invented that through the Togorov,used right from the start.The 'assault rifle' was invented by the Germans 07-09-29 08:13:46 __________________________________________________
llokkee ::: Favorites Yes,i have since learned that i misquoted my friend (10 points for listening) The AK47 is based on the Garand,not,as some think,the STG44.The STG was a completely new innovation. I stand corrected. 07-09-29 08:10:02 __________________________________________________
llokkee ::: Favorites Ok,my friend just got back from Stalingrad..It turns out I seriously misquoted him (10 points for listening)The AK47 was based on the Garand,the STG44 was,as u pointed out,in a league of its own..apparently a completely new innovation. 07-09-29 08:06:48 __________________________________________________
Magni56 ::: Favorites Propaganda. One has to admit that the bastard was quite good at that. 07-09-29 07:40:44 __________________________________________________
godofreudson ::: Favorites no way the stg 44 could be based in m1 garand. The project was from as early as the war started, the same to the prototypes. i would like you to say on WHAT the stg 44 copies m1 garand. they are not even close in design, and, i believe, the same to mechanical structure 07-09-29 04:15:55 __________________________________________________
godofreudson ::: Favorites you're very wrong about that. Fedorov Avtomat could be called the first smg i think, but automactic rifle, the whole design and concept was conceived by stg 44 07-09-29 03:54:10 __________________________________________________
godofreudson ::: Favorites yes, and doesnt mean ak 47 is better, too. and if you take in consideration that stg 44 had been built several years earlier, its clear that german engineering proved superior. point made 07-09-29 03:50:54 __________________________________________________ |
