There's many schools of thought on "break in". Personally, I don't like the term "break" when it comes to engines. I prefer nice and easy at mild to moderate throttle levels to let gaskets, seals, rings and bearings seat - important to do to avoid(and notice) problems.

ok i see. i got a question. i just recently rebuilt a chevy 350 and everything is brand new. its bored .30 over, RV cam, intake, carb, headers, that doesnt matter. anyway were just about ready to fire it. is there anything i should do once it starts to break it in or just let it warm up and idle?

On the car I'm using dual chamber flowmasters - if you click my user name, I have a video of the first run. They have plenty of growl - a half dozen people came up to me at the Super Chevy show and said they "heard me coming" The engine test was either dual or single Flowmasters, but keep in mind, your mind starts to go numb after an hour or so in the car with the windows open.

Dart Pro 1 Aluminum 64cc with 200cc intake port, 2.02/1.60 valves, roller rockers, high lift cam, Scat crank - Should be good for 420-450h.p. and 415-420foot pounds of torque. See it in the car, albeit with stock rear for now on my you tube page.
