He makes a great point. George makes a great comment on the times. That said, I'm really not sure why people are seeing this statement as justification for some Marxist utopia. He's simply stating how stupid we are and how corrupt our system is.

NO, what the worker receives is determined not by the real value of the goods he produces, but by his minimum needs by the capitalists requirements for labor power in relation to the number of workers competing for jobs. It is important to understand that even in theory the payment of the worker is not determined by the value of his product/service.

The largest expense in any business format is wages. yes there are other factors but its the people who make it run that are worth the most. the object is to pay them as little as possible while still keeping things moving.
